Nicholas Daley puts his spin on the George Cox Monkey Boot, reimaging the style in a rich textured leather in dark henna. Trimmed with a contrast leather heel counter in dark-green, with double-stitched detailing and gold-foil branding on the in-sock. Made in England.
Made in Northampton, England / Rich, textured leather upper with contrast heel counter / 14-hole construction and contrast double stitching / Rubber gum sole and gold foil triple-branded in-sock / Laurel Wreath pull tab at the heel
Based in Northampton, England since 1906, the George Cox name is synonymous with quality craftsmanship and British subcultural movements and their iconic monkey boot has been around for decades. We invited fellow craftsman Nicholas Daley to put his own stamp on this distinctive design. Taking inspiration from ‘70s and ‘80s counterculture and the interchange between punk and reggae, Daley reinterprets the boot in textured leather and colours synonymous with the era. Made in George Cox’s Northampton factory.
